Abstract

The paper examines the mechanisms of occurrence of grammatical errors in oral and written speech in the context of educational bilingualism from the standpoint of psycholinguistics. The author analyzes the influence of the strategies for overcoming communicative difficulties on the grammatical correctness of the statement. The experimental part of the study involves the survey of 8–to–11–graders using the Likert scale to assess the frequency of various strategies and the analysis of oral speeches and written works (totaling 200 texts) as part of the exam to train for the English state exam (OGE). Based on the empirical data, a model is proposed illustrating the process of generating a foreign-language text in the context of educational bilingualism. The results of the study can contribute to the development of methods aimed at boosting grammar awareness in a foreign language.
