The article is devoted to the study of the status of the core value rabota (work) in the contemporary hierarchy of Russians’ values. The object of the article is the associative field of the word rabota (work), modeled based on a free association experiment that represents eponymous core value. The subject of the article is meaningful dynamics of the core value reflected in the character of the associates. The author’s goal is to investigate if the same respondents’ core values vary at different ages. In this respect a longitudinal association experiment was conducted, which allows to reveal the dynamics of the object’s existence and to predict its further development. The author compares the results obtained in the experiment of 2014 with the data of the associative experiment of 2018.
