The problem of perception and generation of speech by children is in the focus of present-day research. The novelty of the study lies in the consideration of these processes from the viewpoint of the influence on them of the pathology of the nervous system and the musculoskeletal system, namely, infantile cerebral palsy (CP). The review examines the results of research by foreign authors published in 2021–2023. The studies were conducted in several English-speaking countries (Bangladesh, Sweden, the Netherlands, Indonesia, India, Pakistan, Turkey), which helps provide understanding of the directions of research on speech limitations associated with the disease. The review also touches upon the topic of awareness of a child’s immediate environment about the peculiarities of speech processes in cerebral palsy.
