The article deals with different strategies of identification of idiomatic expressions with temporal meaning in the consciousness of a bilingual who has a good command of two languages: Russian and French. The paper presents the results of research, carried out with the students of all years of studying at the faculty of foreign languages. Identification of temporal idiomatic expressions is defined as processing of information on different levels with the use of diverse methods of understanding the worldview by an individual.
