The transformation of the system of basic values is specifically reflected in the change in the semantics of phraseological units of various types. They stabilize cultural meanings relevant to different periods in the functioning of the society, yet at the same time experience changes that prove that the semantic mobility of phraseological units is an indicator of the instability of cultural meanings in different periods. The destruction of value representations causes the transformation of the value structure of the word denoting the axiological concept, and after that – the content of phraseology, including the value component. A phraseological unit entails certain meanings that make up the content of basic values.
